With the design of 'J1' I wanted to make an auditory chair with the frame as the main element in focus. Many chairs in this category is mainly identified from the shape of the seat and back rest and I wanted to challenge that. I found a fascination of how light is reflected from a bended steel surface and used this alternative bending as a main element of the construction. by working with this method I made a auditory chair that has a unique visual expression both standing alone, stacked and lined up.
